People have PM me asking about the price. Since i am not related to any sponsor, i will share the details here for fellow members. I paid $6700 for the whole thing including the spray painting. The price is about average (prob not the lowest) for this exhaust. I did it at MBM/KBS Motorsports only becos my warranty is handled by them. Doing this exhaust with them should hopefully reduce any unnecessary issue later down the road if there is any warranty claim. For those who wants to chime in and tell me how much cheaper i "could have gotten" it done elsewhere, save your breath cos i don't care for it.
I am not exactly happy with their service. Firstly, it took 2 months for the damn thing to arrive. I guess they ordered the exhaust from Mars. I wanted heat resistant matt black paint, but got a low gloss finish instead..KNN... The LTA inspection was also not done as the guy claimed the LTA guy was on leave or some such shit. The following week, he said TUV letter is needed to approve this exhaust. I made it a point for him to clarify everything with LTA before ordering to ensure he has all the paperwork necessary to get approval. He had said TUV letter was not needed as it's OEM, but now it's a different story. Going by the postal service level at Mars, i think it will probably take a couple of months before this gets sorted out. Mean while, i am running ard with an OEM exhaust, but an illegal mod. I believe i am their first perf exhaust customer and the guy was initially pushing some other brands that i can't remember.
Don't let this take anything away from this exhaust. I love it to bits. It certainly adds a few levels of excitement to the ownership experience. For those who are not obliged to do it with any workshop, do your research first and stick to shops with experience on this exhaust. The waiting time is prob shorter and paperwork more efficient.

Hi Clar
From what i know, if you do your exhaust from elsewhere, the warranty will not be void as in you cant claim the exhaust there but other stuff will be okie..thats what they told me with my previous ride.. i did not claim any warranty so i wouldnt know for sure. perhaps you can check with them

Clar,
All exhaust system needs to be inspected as far as I am aware. I had to do that when PML installed performance exhaust on my 335 and when Munich installed the M exhaust on my M3. In both cases, I get a LTA cert of approval. That will save me all the hassle when TP stops me.
So your seller probably dunno what he is talking or is plain lazy. TUV is a given to survive LTA.

For sure inspection is needed. That's the part he claimed the guy was on leave. He said some photos were taken though. In any case, the TUV paper is needed during the inspection to get approval. Since he doesn't have it, even if the guy was around, it wouldn't have mattered.

How do you define lightly used on exhaust? Never throttle hard or few days old or?
and yes, is it for E90 or E92 M3?

Apologies its for E90 M3. Comes w plug n play Delete R.
Lightly used as in the pipes still havent turned purple blue yet. For Ti Akra xos, once its heated & used alot, the pipes turn purple blue.
