well an update for the benefit of everyone.
sent to PML as still under warranty and they could not find anything wrong.
top up engine oil and the check light went off and wrote it off as low oil.
they could not tell me why pressure light came on instead of oil level light.
oh well, at least the coffee passable.

Low oil level will lead to low oil pressure. Not enough oil to circulate. Hence likely why the oil pressure light came on. More importantly, check if there is a leak somewhere. engine oil levels do not usually drop for no good reason.
