pls let us know wht is the outcome after reprogram. tks. Mine hv the last jerk whn cm to a final stop. The harder yr stop the harder the jerk. If u stop gently, everything is fine. is yr hv the same situation? mine is 2006 320 @ 85kk

The softward reprogramming/update can be done at our sponsor workshops too. I think it is slightly cheaper. Anyway, keep your fingers crossed that this is the actual cause of the jerking problem. If it is the actual gearbox, it will be very very costly.

I also have this problem with my Sep 06 523. Initial the jerking is very obvious. I got it done at starblack(1 yr warranty), they do a sw reflash...better but still have minor jerk when daily driving mileage is 70km or more. They change the ATF for me.....helps abit.....I went down to complain before the warranty ends, they send to PML for a gearbox check. PML did the sw refresh and verify the issue solved. Currently the ride is quite smooth...

Anyone knows if the reprogramming will also help with engine RPM idling speeds cos my car idling speed is a bit loww abt 550-600RPM and it seem s quite noisy. Also is the jerking when coming to a stop feel like the brakes seem to be biting too much? Cos i'm wondering if thats also my problem. Mine is a Dec 07 523. thanks in advance

i collect my 06 jan 523 last night and was having fun with the idrive and the ride. Just that many buttons dun know for what but i learn by the day. Today bring down to M&Q for check and service. Suprisingly the car do not have leakage as they remove the black cover underneath. I do feel a bit of the car jerk before coming to stop issue, just a bit but after changing the atf, it seems fine. The only thing is the belt tensioner seems to have some problem as the belt did not rest full on the tensioner itself. the belt was out by 10%. Gonna go find the dealer to resolve it. So far so good enjoying the nice quite ride. The mech top up 7L of EO and 5.5L of ATF, is this too much?
Also i dint know M&Q mobile 1 oil is as ex as motul, i did not ask price as i dun think they charge so ex but to my surprise..... But the service was very good and it seems everything was reasonable except the EO...hopefully not much issue for this car...next to change...engine mounting.

I am glad I started this thread months ago. I've learnt alot since and has been 7 months till now. I've solved 90% of all my issues, less my irritating knocking headrest sound... I am enjoying my car everyday and maintain it well..
One thing I would like to share - Joining some of the meet ups is really helpful.. I've learn alot and most importantly made some real good friends in the process.. Many of the issues is not clearly written via the forum... group talk and discussion really helps.
