I think electric bike should be ban - damn dangerous

I have seen them riding very fast on the street . What do you guys think?

A nine-year-old girl has suffered temporary paralysis to one side of her body after she was knocked down by an electric biike in February.

According to a Shin Min Daily report, Faith Naval -- currently a Primary Four student -- was crossing the road near her school with her 12-year-old sister, Kimberly when the bike hit her.

Kimberly was quoted as saying: "I believed my sister may have been tripped the wheel of the bike, and that the bike dragged her for at least 35 to 40 metres".

After the accident, the rider of the bike was said to have carried Faith across a distance spanning a few housing blocks before laying her down on a table at a void deck.

"My sister shouting out to him to put her down but he didn't listen. He told the police later that he saw dark clouds in the sky and was afraid my sister will get drenched in the rain."

The rider's actions were believed to have caused blood to rush to Faith's brain, thus causing the swelling.

Her left brain still show signs of sweeling, and has led to the right side of her body to be immobile temporarily.

Kimberly also told the newspaper that in the one month that has passed since the accident, the rider has neither visited Faith nor offered an apology.

I think they become very dangerous when they suka suka follow the rules that are to their advantage (sometimes they follow car rules sometimes they become pedestrians).
As a result they became very unpredictable. And of course due to their speed too, though speed alone is not a factor by itself. Jinooi say one.

But I still feel they are dangerous ... As some of them travel on the pavement.

Some don't have indicator lights and it's really hard to notice them at the side of the road during night time,
Also they are kinda slow (relative to vehicle speed) and when I wanna filter left into the slip road, I have to slowly follow them from behind :(

At least recently I witnessed TP outriders pulling over heavy vehicles traveling on lane-2 & 3 plus speeding. However still have not seen a single LTA outriders doing what TP outriders do.

I have seen 2 accidents with electric bike. 1 was almost knock down by me when he decided to do hook turn from my left and after the near miss he gave me the " KNN WTF" look. The other one I witness an electric bike knocked into the driver door of a merc cab and ran off with poor big belly uncle chasing and cursing behind him. I hate them really... just like the cyclists on the road

Illegal exos $500 fine. So lucrative income why bother about some speeding goods vehicles or speeding motorized bicycles?

Should ban the electric bicycle in Singapore. I have fear walking on pathway nowadays cause don't know when and where they will be coming from at a fast speed. BAN BAN BAN!!!

Whose fault?
Road users?
Rule?
Enforcers?

Despite being a cyclist, i hate cyclist who cycle fast on pavement (pavement is meant for pedestrian only). I would not hesitate to take any necessary steps to ensure my own safety.

Re: P4 girl paralyzed on one side of body after electric bike knocked her down

yups.

cyclists (motorised or not) on pavements are a danger to the pedestrians, like what robot has said, they just use the rules to their advantage. expecting them to go down their bikes to cross the zebra crossings/traffic lights is more difficult than striking TOTO first prize.

I usually leave them alone until any one comes too close to me for comfort, in which case, I see one kick one.
