wobbles

Barely a fortnight into being a happy, contented, satisfied owner of my F13, the inevitable happened. Some inconsiderate, in-breeding KNNCCB person opened their car door too wide, too fast, and left a Gawd-awful 3cm long gash of a dent on the back panel of the driver's side.
It's like having Long Dong Silver or Bro Kenntona shove their 9" flaccid (so claimed) love sausages down some poor porno starlet's throat: painful to watch, harder to swallow, and not an experience I'd recommend (not that I'd ever experienced it first hand, mind you!)
It was a catastrophe. An eyesore of unimaginable magnitude, a heart-pain of indescribable proportions. A total disaster, accentuated and made only more painful by Revol's shiny Glass Coat paint treatment – because everything else on the F13 was baby-bottom smooth and reflective, and then your eye is immediately caught by the manner this dent – like a fcuking gigantic red zit on your nose on prom night – grabs you by the collar and shoves itself into your face. OK, OK, you get it.
As you can appreciate, I was very bothered by this dent. Enough said. Actually, REALLY bothered. OK, OK, I'll move on...
Anyway, Revol not only offered a car grooming service – the package I signed also came with a Paintless dent removal service, in which Gavin & his boys would try to help smooth out any dings, dents & dongs on your car's bodywork without the need for re-spraying.
So, yesterday, I brought the F13 down for Revol to work their magic. The following sequence of photos will show just what work went into getting a 3cm slash of a dent smoothened out, flattened down & repaired back to near-normal. Initially Gavin thought it'd be a 30 – 45 minute job, tops. At this time, bro Zeromax came pulling into Revol in his brand new Kelleners Sports boosted Mineral White F20. Sibei sexy – the car AND the man haha!
1. Starting the repair: Hot glue & that sucker grabs the paintwork like how a PRC xmm would grab onto some unker who's just gotten his CPF payout:
2. That's the 'suction tool'. It looks painful:
3. The first few attempts at the glue & suck method failed to achieve a smooth finish, so the Dent Removal Kungfu Master brought out reinforcement – a hammer & a blunt pointed chisel:
4. Stubborn dent calls for stronger tools:
5. The master at work – this is the suck:
5. And this is the smash:
In the end, it was a good 3 hours before Gavin & his Dent Removal specialist finally came into the office & said "Tah-Dah!" And these 2 photos show the end result:
And the bonus at the end of that, Revol gave my car a much needed wash FOC & touch up polish! Gavin said he couldn't let me car leave the place looking dusty and dirty (after all the dent repair work). How do you beat that for service quality, value-for-money and the personal touch!
Gavin & the guys at Revol Carz Makeover, thanks ever so much for the excellent repair job. You certainly lived up to your promise of this being a PAINTLESS (and PAINLESS – because my heart pain is gone!) dent removal!
