Parking at Newton Circus Public Carpark

Hey guys,

need some opinions...or suggestions
I need to be at Newton Circus URA carpark next week to board a bus for a day trip (6am to 10pm) to Malaysia.
The timing to be there is 6am....super early!!!
was wondering if i should cab there from my home (bt batok) or drive and park there.

Pros:
1. No need to wait for cab in the morning (more sleep time!), and cluster-fxxk with others to take cab back when we arrive back to SG at about 10pm.
2. displaying whole day coupons(6am to 10pm) cheaper than cab fare (to and fro)

Cons:
1. Car at risk of sun/rain/birdshit for whole day
2. Car later kena dings by other other inconsiderate driver/passenger car door

Take cab.. UV ray is bad for ur car... Leaving ur car under the sun whole day is no no no.. Leather gets worn faster too.. N

Forgot to mention.. One bird shit.. Under the sun.. Good luck.. Permanent clear coat damage..

Did u think of tree saps too? Don't risk it..

U park there wanting to save like 50 bucks u might end up needing 500 bucks paint restoration and maybe another 80 bucks of dent removal..

I would take a Taxi. Skip the taxi rush, call a cab and book it for your return.

Less risk of birdshit, inconsiderate drivers opening their doors, sun shine, etc...... there's more con then pro.

Just had lunch at newton. 25 mins parking, received 3 presents from birds that had no a$$hole discipline.

Better take taxi.

thanks for the numerous replies!
looks like its for cabbing there for you guys.
and so my hunch is right, that carpark is horrible for long term parking.
and Pengful's view that my mind will be on the car is spot on. I wouldnt be really enjoying my trip.



I have decided. :ehhh:


to still drive there and follow ac323's recommendation, to park at Sheraton Towers.
