Re: PIRELLI Cinturato P7

My F10 stock are P7 run flats (if they are the same as what your asking). Personally, I don't like it as I find the tires are noisy. Never used PS3 b4. Other ride running on PSS (used these tires about 3 times b4) and love the PSS. Quiet, sticky and dare I say comfortable. Unfortunately PSS doesn't have my set up for the F10 or I would have changed them immediately.

Re: PIRELLI Cinturato P7

For normal usage it is reasonable.

PSS is performance tyre, hard to believe it is quieter than a touring tyre.

Re: PIRELLI Cinturato P7

sorry wasn't refrring to the runflat version of p7. iTS THE NORMAL TYPE.

Re: PIRELLI Cinturato P7

I never use Pirelli before. My father also same. His father also.

3 lifetimes all the same ....

Re: PIRELLI Cinturato P7

The NRF is quiet and comfortable. Road holding is not too shabby. It is on my E60 with 245/45/17. Not sure about low profile setup.

Re: PIRELLI Cinturato P7

I use PS3 225/50/17, much better feel and confident compare with RE050, P7 in term of wet & dry performance as well as quiet level.

Go for PS3 , PSS if you can.

I am using RE050A RFT but I support the input that PS3 is better than RE050 and Pirelli Cin-P7.

If only PS3 or the better PSS, comes in RFT and size to match, I will jump ship on my next change :)

Re: PIRELLI Cinturato P7

I just changed out from my Bridgestone Re050A RFT to Pirelli Cinturato P7 (Eco version) on my E60 525i. Immediately, felt the tires to be quieter (not by a lot though), harshness (on sharp road imperfections) is gone, feel & handling seems the same (I've over-inflated a little). My fuel consumption improved from 9.3 Kmpl to 10.5 kmpl which was shocking!
Tramlining is completely eliminated and of course these are much cheaper (probably saved about $100 per tire or more). Overall, very good decision. I've kept a Slime tire repair kit in the back just in case.
Before the change, I debated with myself quite a bit, but now it seems a no-brainer.
