if I read the rules and regulations of this forum correctly.... plus what baby1M has posted within the tread...

there should NOT be any mention of any rival site sponsor / shop's name etc in any post.... especially a post made in the capacity of a site sponsor / forum member.

yet J's magic's reputation was brought into this whole matter and put in disrepute....

I reckon appropriate disciplinary action should be given to the TS since mentioning of another site sponsor's name clearly flouts forum rules and the admin should hand out appropriate disciplinary actions....

yet I DO NOT see actions otherwise

I hope you understand that the purpose of that thread was to highlight the recent fraud cases so users will know better on taking the necessary precautionary measures before purchasing any items through the forum. TS can mean that the workshop sells customized bodykits so it is easily recognizable. There is no form of defamation in it, and no reputations are being put at stake here, so dont read too much into it.
If forum rules are flouted blatantly time and time again, all have eyes to see. Dont need to add fuel to fire.

My conscience is clear n I have posted my clarification and have spoken to terry of j magic on this. If forum admin investigates n deem that I have purposely did that to harm j magic, feel free to impose any disciplinary action on me.
Lastly, The forum would be a better place with less flaming n fanners.

It is good actually that the workshop's name is stated, so at least now everyone knows that they practice good business etiquette, and is worth visiting. Rather than not mentioning it, and rumours spread; making matters worse.
If every forum rule were to be exercised heavily, im sure even you and me will probably get banned sooner or later. Im guessing the rules apply to those who constantly flout them regardless of previous warnings that have not been heeded. 2cents.

If this thread is about consistency with rules and regulations, why then are site sponsors allowed to post in The Classifieds since it is written under BMW Modifications, BMW Parts & Accessories that states "NO commerical product/service advertising here."?

Last time my friend's M3 installed AE lights from bimshop. I observed and continued to research. Then i saw Boss motor's AE lights.... They were brighter but more expensive.

So i voted with my wallet and got the brighter ones.

But i have never suggested / inferred / made reference / posted / blogged nor insinuated that one shop's products is more superior to another service provider.... I simply voted with my wallet.


Recently i converted the tints for most of the cars at home to Infratint after experiencing it myself. I have not made any posts to suggest other tints / service providers goods are less superior.

One time, i saw a 911 for sale.... The price was very attractive with full paperwork from stuttgart.... Almost pulled the trigger, but a friend stopped me and told me to triple check. Truth be told, i found out that it was a PI car adopted by stuttgart. I aborted the deal cos it did not fit my criteria.....


In this example.... sprawler... You went in with your eyes wide open, you were attracted to the 'simply cannot refuse... Too cheap' price and attempted to take the plunge. Then your emotions came into play cos you found out that they were non genuine bmw m performance parts but knockoffs (read replicas). You sian 1/2 and rejected the deal.

People buy replicas vs real stuff for various reasons.... Financials, price, durability etc.

But suggesting a product peddled by a certain business as inferior vs another service provider and going into naming names is just simply wrong.

I think it's a misunderstanding.

My impression after reading Steven's comments in the original thread was more aligned and akin to Sprawler's clarification above. Truth be told, I did not walk away from the thread thinking that J's Magic had offered an inferior product. It was the rogue seller "XP" that was making his item appear to be something it wasn't - a case of misrepresentation, or fraud, if you'd like to call a spade a spade.

Perhaps Steven's composition left much to be desired - and was open to misinterpretation - but, I have no doubt that his intentions were noble when he posted the warning for all and sundry to note.

I also understand Jason's concerns - and his concerns are both fair and valid - but I reckon they were raised perhaps in response to a misunderstanding of Sprawler's and Steven (Bimshop)'s posts.

That's just my take on the issue - I don't know Sprawler (never had the pleasure of meeting him yet), but I have met Steven and Jason on separate occasions, and if initial impressions count for anything, then I'd be the first to say that I would be proud to count them for friends: these are 2 good guys, with their hearts in the right places.

Post #10 (it is a quote and unquote)
resulted in post #14 (obviously reading with emotions)
therefore came post #15 (kind of direct implication he is not interested to highlight to you that you entirely misread post#10)
followed by post #16....
resulting in my post #17.

FYI: I do not know poster of post #10, never meet poster before, never had pm exchanges with poster too. Same applies to poster of post#14. So am not on either side.
