ouh..i still have to change them back to the old ones wen i go for inspection? is it illegal? or just like for precautionary sake? cos some of the others were mentioning that it might have been approved already... anyways..that shouldnt be a problem la..like u said..it only takes a few mins.. yup..thanks for ur opinion..seems like everyone else thinks this is the best choice too..so final decision made! diamond vision! hahaha...

its not LTA 'approved' but, ultimately, up to u.
do it if u like it... prob. wun get into trouble at traffic stops/blocks, but swap for inspection

Re: pls give some advise before i choose to change my lights...

Yes definately not LTA approved, went for inspection recently at the end of feb and tried my luck at first cos I was lazy to change it, but they didn't allow it.

mata kias won't stop you on the road when they spot you.

Please don't go HID... The glare to oncoming traffic is really irritating!

Cheers! :)

It will not glare if it's aligned properly. :)

Most HIDs you see that are glaring are because they were not aligned properly during installation. ;)

i don't really know the differences except that some are probably brighter... and which is better or nicer? cos i dun wanna waste money for something lousy although it may not be much la but still all the time wasted getting it done.. i wan my car to look more sporty so i guess the lights should be bright..i saw a car that day that had really nice lights..it was a really nice strong beam that really made the car stand out.. so if anyone can help me, pls do give me ur opinions before i make a final choice... thanks!:)

Would suggest HID if you really want bright and white.

Most blue-coat halogen bulbs' light throw are very lousy due to the light being 'blocked' on the way out.

Do PM me if you're interested in getting HID. :)

If you plug and play a HID kit, it will be very glaring. Either you get a proper HID projector system or you can aim the headlights downwards.

It is true that normal blue coat halogen lightbuls have lousy throw, but don't think its due to light being "blocked out" but rather that, halogen's need more power for the eqiuivalent amount of light. Also high colour temperature light has high frequency but low energy, so the throw is less than say a normal bulb emitting yellow light

Yes, aligning the lights downwards is the easiest way to overcome the missing projector... :D

no sweat Ben, normal road blocks won't kena one lah...unless its a ROV op.
the only bummer is when u go for inspection, u can ask around for the more relaxed ones lo...but just a word of advice, the "relaxed" inspection center i go to annually this year also quite on the ball, opening up my hood to check which they didn't do for the past years. heng ah i already removed some mods myself...haha
