Re: pml bring in 318??

Tried few cars before buying bimmer.
C class, A4, Bimmer 3 and IS 250.
Honestly, I dun know why I bought though I prefer the previous two.

Merc C180 has a little 1.6l engine but puts out 156hp....
Anyone here considered this option?
:)

We tried the C180 BE - not bad but sounded too gruff for our liking...

In the end, we went for the C200

But at the price, can buy the 323 and even the 520 :verysad:

After considering all bros' comments, can we compare 318 and 320 in this manner?

318 = 136 bhp = listed px $126K = $926 per bhp
320 = 156 bhp = listed px $144K = $923 per bhp (in addition higher OMV & scrap value, more equipments)

Any comments?

Theoretically is yes but once you factor in the bigger discount for the 318, then it may not be so

Guess it is a matter of whether you can live with the lower power (driveability is still very decent)

Driving my 318 for 2 weeks, car is more responsive when using manual mode. In D mode, gear change is a tad slow. Anyone has the same view?

Did'nt know 318 has a bigger discount, I recalled some bro ever mentioned that discount for both 318 and 320 same same

Ya, agree with you. In D mode the 318 is slow in changing to the next higher gear, However, did not dare to use the manual mode as much as my 318 is just 1 week old. Let it run in for awhile more, maybe till 1000km than use more often on the manual mode. Anyway, still enoying every mins and secs driving the 318.

Bro,

Its abt 2 secs slower in response. In DS mode, your rev is higher than D and more actively engaged, thus more responsive

Enjoy
