For my car since under warranty, i still go back to PML for servicing and repairs. I always bring my own engine oil because it is a lot cheaper than using theirs. By the way, i saw someone mentioning that Expo is having a Carrefour Mobil One engine oil promo. Go take a look.

Dont forget to check past posts, there are alot of things to change while car is still under warranty. Change them before warranty expires. (Do some warming up, some table banging is necessary).

Re: Re; 3 yr pml warranty

technically, you must go back to pml for servicing. otherwise, warranty is 'risk' voided.
in between, you can do servicing outside (ie: change oil and oil filter) at bvo especially if you prefer to change oil every 5k-7.5k before service light is up
when obc service light is up, go back to pml

Re: Re; 3 yr pml warranty

oh.. what is obc service light? the meter just promoted a service msg. is that the one you are referring to? btw, u mean i can buy my own engine oil and bring it there for the servicing? generally, how much is the service cost? thanks to all bro..

Good call on changing things b4 the warranty up. I'm coming close to end of warranty. How to know what to ask them to change? Send to 3rd party workshop to diagnose is it? Me not techie on this ride.

Re: Re; 3 yr pml warranty

When is your warranty expiring? PM me your phone number. Not too nice to openly disclose warranty claims here. Sekali PML is watching. :)

I'll be glad if PML are monitoring this.. hahaha.. sent them a few notices on some disatisfied incidents. judging from their non-response. don't think they cared. anyways, I'll pm my contact to you.. :>

harrow,
mine is due for service soon 50,000km servcing...wat oil do u use other than their in house castrol? and also any things to look out for for the 50k service?
please advise....thank u much much...:)

Re: Re; 3 yr pml warranty

I only bring my own oil. As for 50k servicing, there is nothing much to worry about. It is 6-9 months before warranty expires that you need to worry or take special attention.

What do you drive?

Re: Re; 3 yr pml warranty

PML services suck big time be it Repair, service, checks, new accessories etc. Already set up my mind my future cars won't be a Bimmer anymore.

Re: Re; 3 yr pml warranty

wah so serious arh? haha.. i was driving a jap car before this bimmer. i have to say the service is great compared to jap cars. Not sure abt the parts though.. Have to KIV.. btw, some mentioned that they bring their own oil for servicing. How much difference will it cost to bring your own vs theirs?? Also, what are the different types of servicing? how often does the service light come on a yr and how many time must the car go for servicing? For jap cars, the only servicing is the 10,000km. How come conti car so troublesome?

Re: Re; 3 yr pml warranty

Re: Re; 3 yr pml warranty

It's difficult to determine what to change before warranty ends. It depends on your luck.if you are lucky, you might get parts that last you very long or the parts spoilt just before your warranty ends. If your parts spolit after your warranty, good luck. Pml won't change working parts before warranty ends. Hope it clarifies.

Re: Re; 3 yr pml warranty

oh ok,
I went down today to Kampong Arang and spoke to one of the SA, nice chap, he told me to reschedule to bring in again next tuesday as I told him my aircon sometime cold, sometime hot air and sometimes no AIR! haha...
my ride only 2 years plus.....
anyway, thanks to E90Koh, (thanks bro!) and he shared some of his precious experience with me....
and then the SA told me sometimes, if u heng heng? shock absorbers can last very very long. unless something happens...haha!
so that means everything 50-50 man....
