Re: Remus or Sebring exhaust for E60

i am also considering either sebring or remus, personally prefer the sebring cos it is nice n bassy and not too loud.

seriously thinking abt the quad sebring but i got a rear diffuser on my e90 so may have to find a good workshop to do some surgery on the diffuser to accomodate the extra pipes......

if it you want nothing too flashy, think sebring is the one........

eggz - J4C recommended Sebring for my e90 320i yesterday. Wanted to the sound on a 4 pots defore I decide. I was told that the free flowing exhaust will liberate a few horses but read somewhere that its purely for the sound. Care to share your experience with the Sebring?

yeah moto, like what toto said, I can't really feel any increasein bhp, but you do feel that the engine is more eager to rev.

The sound is the main thing and the Sebring sound is very nice if you like the low bassy type of sound. Be aware though, with a change in exhaust, you can expect a bit of vibration/resonance on the steering wheel and sometimes in the cabin. Overall the car feels more sporty (mainly due to sound) but you sacrifice a little bit of refinement....

Guys, thanks for sharing your experience. I do not like the sound of big trumpet behind some of the EVOs but the sound of a deep bassy sound engine always make me turn green with envy. I am sure you enjoy your ride and maybe I will have mine upgraded soon. But now, my priority is the ICE upgrade. Thanks again and have a great weekend.

Eggz,
Finally went ahead with Remus! Assurance given by FK and also checked with Remus Distributor, KingCrimson. I think the sound is as bassy as your Sebring but I guess we will have to have another get-together for comparison. Put time put place.... and bring your torch light!

Re: Remus or Sebring exhaust for E60

anyone wants to know how a Sebring sounds like, i'll be more than happy to put a smile on your face. And it will last cause it is LTA approved. Just dont keep asking me if its legal cause its really loud. :)

Re: Remus or Sebring exhaust for E60

Haven't heard the difference myself, but I was told that different engines will give you a different exhaust note, even with the same exhaust.

The Sebring is quite a bit lighter and smaller than the stock exhaust on a 530i (M54 engine)
