share what wash/polish product u use here!!

I am wondering what u guys use to wash car... or any procedure u guys did to clean the body , wipe down , clean the rims.. and the product use for exterior and interior..

there are many different school of thoughts... so everyone please share here!

as for me

wash with either zaino or zymol shampoo using sheepskin wash mitt....

dry with microfiber towel....

rims washed with soft sponge and polished with meguiar's metal polysh

interior so far SFC used poorboy's leather stuff on my car... have yet to try zaino leather cleaner and leather in a bottle or swissvax leather milk



come on! share guys! dont only talk about mods.... mods is not bling if not taken care properly too

usually i wash my car every other day.....

total time washing will be about 1.5 to 2hrs.. i really take my time... my initial hosing down of road grime and dust is very very long.... to prevent any scratches when wiping it with the wash mitt

i use rain water. if it rains..i go out n drive fast fast. let the rain wash the dirt on my GTI. every 3 weeks i drive into petrol kiosk.

i try to wash every 3 days, shorter if possible.

1) rinse down whole car including rims with hose.
2) wash rims with normal sponge
3) rinse off rims
4) mitt and zymol to shampoo car, top-down.
5) rinse and hose off
6) wipe off with microfibre cloth exterior
7) apply zymol leather cleaner n conditional. (approx once every 2 weeks)
8) apply tire shine.

wash often...it is quite easy...just normal maintenance.

now i have no place to groom my car.......still looking ard...

for me, i use blangala shampoo ~ my ride no value so no need wash with good product.
only twice at IKEA caltex station (only station i visit) keke..

i want to try and buy the zaino leather cleaner and zaino leather in a bottle...

that or swissvax leather cleaner and leather milk....

bro... i find out the the zymol product we buy off the shelves is not the zymol that pro detailer use... zymol actually have another pro line which can only be gotten from online store at their site if we want... the shampoo... leather cleaner and conditioner all are different from what i saw at autobacs leh...

terry if u wanna zymol ur car let me know...i got one good lobang. home groomer. does my other car. 6 hour job. the guy is so detailed that i think he is mad or has a fetish.

but it's been raining so hard just recently, it's not surprising anymore.

have been washing my car every weekend.

the only other frustration is that it almost always rains after i wash my car, sometimes as soon as i get home and into the bathroom to shower. :furious:

mebbe countries experiencing drought should invite me over to wash car. won't have drought anymore...

This is my procedure:-

Weekly (twice)

• Midweek, wash car, tyres/rims with shampoo & dry car
• Apply quickdetailer for the shine
• Apply tyre shine
• Clean interior/vacuum

• Weekend, wash car, tyres/rims with shampoo & dry car
• Clean interior/vacuum
• Apply tyre shine
• Apply wax and top up quickdetailer

Monthly

• Clean interior with carpet cleaner
• Treat leather with cleaner + conditioner
• Treat aircon to remove odor/bacteria

Quarterly

• Wash car, tyres/rims with shampoo & dry car
• Treat paintwork with claybar
• Use cleaner/polish to remove wax
• Apply sealant
• After 24 hours, apply wax

Above ritual is part of my getting fit activity

guys, have you tried meguiar's ultimate quik detailer?

have been using it for about 2 months. found it to be quite good at preventing water spots.

water simply slides off!

application is easy too - final step after washing / polishing / waxing. just apply and wipe off.

i use UQD..

it's great for qucik wipe downs between proper washes and also serves as a LSP..

but do you find tt somehow it seems to attact dust?
