I used to have great respect for Kennanconda for his professionalism in this trade until I realize that his tongue is only used for talking. He is no difference from many politician.

On a very serious note, my ambition was to become a fighter pilot after watching Top Gun in my teenage years.

Now, cannot fly aeroplane, but can beat aeroplane.

Axe 76 pilots and replace with cheaper ones from PRC and India.

Time to short SIA stock now... or rather 6 months ago. They are not making money for sure. Just looked at the over-priced business class. All companies and banks are cutting cost, so alot of flights become redundant. How do you expect SIA biz and first class to survive against close competitors like Cathay or Emirates which have lesser sunked cost but same quality of planes and services. That also explained why SIA sold Virgin share to a US airline (Delta) a couple of months ago. Cash flow is poor. Profit outlook is bleak. The last nail on the coffin now is a rise in jet fuel price. I hope they are well-hedged.

actually SQ reduced fares liao...

I asked my travel desk to get me quotes on Biz class to New York for SQ and Emirates.

SQ biz fare: $8.8k
Emirates biz fare: $8.2k

Not much difference considering both have one stop-over and flight is 24 hours.

Further, SQ's timing is EXCELLENT, fly off 11pm, reach NY 11am, stopover Frankfurt 1.5hrs.

Emirates one fly off 2am, reach NY 7pm, cos stopover 5 hours in Dubai shake leg

So for that +- $600 difference, I booked SQ.

I also just wanna hao lian that I take Biz class

For those on my FB, wait for my Check-in at the high class Silverkris lounge yah?
