the plus point is the air snorkel is opened up 2-ways for air scoop.
for oem, 1 side is blocked. existing e90 320 scoop owner may want to add 1 more scoop
in term of noise should be similar to k&n,bmc,hurricane drop in. i'm told that there is a loss of low end torque (abit)
check the quality of the CF. i have seen at least 2 sets crack (hairline and some serious)

Just add velocity to counter this low end problem.. haa quite true car become a little sluggish during low end. need to rev up a little.
this is as close as it gets to the best closed system already. Open-pod will be too loud and crass and lose alot alot of low-end torque
the stock air-box scoop looks huge but if u inspect underneath actually the scoop is one side on, for eg. only taking in air from one kidney grill. Changing to the simota will mean taking in air from both kidney grill. the surface area of the air filter inside is also almost twice that of the stock. All the above reasons is why i got this system but unfortunately does not fit my lci
