I believe connected drive is only available for cars built after Jan 2011... I guess E series with the new idrive and built after that date will be able to preform the BMW online function...

omshks is correct. it will be avail for E series with CIC iDrive built after May 2011 I think

I have to use my mobile to act as hotspot in order to use the internet option in my F10 from PML but the speed is ridiculously slow.

Internet found under BMW serives option..no sure if I have the BMW online..I called my SE and I asked if we need a SIM card for surfing..advise can be done using bluetooth n only got it working by enabling my mobile to be the hotspot..

I've manage to get a BMW online account and also activated the Iphone Remote App

This can be downloaded from the US or UK website. You need to create a UK iTunes account (you need a UK address, and just click None when asked for payment options).

With this account you can download the BMW remote app and also the BMW connected app (for tose who has the 6NR BMW Apps option)

You will then need to enter four security questions (and we all thought Singaporeans were kiasu!). They will send you an activation code.

Once activated (may take some time) you will now see your car on the remote app.

You need to do one more thing. Go back to the car and update Services. You will now have these:

So far the most useful thing is the Google Local Search. It is well integrated into the GPS Nav system ("Further Information on POI" service) and the Telephone so you can route to it or call for a booking.

I don't even see a "Connected Drive" menu! Haiz... so much hype & promotion on this, but we get zilch!
