Will help a bit but not totally.
If really want quiet ride, gotta get a Lexus. The sound proofing is very good, not the IS though

DIY with soundproofing spray around wheel arch does help to reduce some road noise. Bought it from autobac .. not cheap though but applied surface is smooth. Applied it also onto what was supposed to be the spare tire well (current GS does not come with spare tires) inside of my Lexus to soundproof car's rear. Added one layer of rubber strip around the door frame. Overall, the interior is quieter.

Read from review that 3 M undercoating can be used as soundproofing. It's also cheaper, but haven't tried it as the contents seem coarse. If anyone has tried please share if it works well.

I had PSS on my previous 523i F10. It was not a quiet set of tyres, but performance during wet/dry had been very good. The noise level escalated a lot after 30K km. My car's rear had even drifted a little on a few occasions when I took some tight turns, so no regrets having had this set of tyres on my 523i.
