Actually all the 5 teams stand a chance... nobody can afford to slip up now.

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

For the first time in a very long time, the traditional big four won their matches over the weekend.

Arsenal had played both Chelsea and Man City (home and away)... now we are left with Man U & L'pool at home and Spurs away.

Plus, I dont see how we could beat Barcelona... so on paper, Arsenal should have an easier path to domestic glory.

Exactly! These are the three key games for us. Based on the remaining fixtures, I think that on paper, Arsenal has the easier run-in than the rest. ManU have City (home), Chelsea (Home and Away) Liverpool (Away) and Arsenal (Away). All teams are bound to drop points along the way. Let's hope we drop less.

Have faith mate! Blind faith if you must.
v.Persie will thunder a shot which cannons off the crossbar, bounces onto Fabregas and trickles into the net in the 90th minute. Barca are out of the CL and their fans turn against Cesc so he decides to pledge his future to the gunners.

City and Liverpool should have no problem.
Chelsea may be draw away and home. Drop 4 points.
Arsenal away, man utd wins.

Man utd wins bpl!

I think for ManU, the City game may be a draw. I know City are not fantastic but this is a derby game and derby games are not like normal games. Win against pool - probably. Chelsea games - probably one win, one lose

Win against Arsenal at the Emirates -

Too early to say who will win the bpl but at the moment it is ManU's title to lose.

Hope this happens, though on paper, they do have a tougher run in.

Bro, I'll definitely more than happy to be proven wrong... Come on, you Gunners!

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

I remember at this stage last season, Arsenal had a much easier run-in of matches than Chelsea and Man U. We know what happened in the end. Hope the same thing doesn't happen again this season.

Also tonight's match is damn important for Arsenal, if we get knocked out of Carling Cup semi by Ipswich, confirm damn low morale. If manage to go on and win the Carling Cup, it will do wonders for the morale at the club. Come on you Gunners!

I have to agree that this Berba is really red hot now. He is like your Cronaldo a few seasons ago. I think your weakness is probably that ManU are too reliant on him. If he breaks a leg or twists an ankle, your goals will dry up. Rooney no form and the others only contribute a few goals sporadically.

If ManU wants to win, SAF has to lock Berba up in his room and not let him go out anywhere between games.

Job done mate! We're on to the finals.

Personally I think this mickey mouse cup is a bit of a distraction but every game won does help the morale somewhat. I guess this year Arsene Wenger has put a bit more emphasis on this Cup and we see less kids playing. I hope he doesn't lose too much focus on the other bigger competitions.

Good thing is that when Berbatov plays well, Rooney is taking a backstage role...... as well as Chicarito.......... And I feel that Rooney will start to recover his form over the last 10 games......

Just in time for Berbatov to suffer a dip in form :nehnehhh:

Seriously, if both are on form then ManU will be very tough. Up until the recent few games, ManU have not been that impressive as they have in the past and the team has been just been scraping through.

Both ManU and Arsenal are top scoring in the league but I think that Arsenal seems more balanced in that the goals are shared amongst everyone. As an opponent, you can't totally focus and mark all Cesc, Nasri, v.Persie, Chamakh, Walcott, Arshavin at the same time and all of them can score.

I think for now, the way to beat ManU is to mark Berbatov out of the game ...
I know what ManU fans will say ... Mark Berbatov and this will free up space for Rooney but I think that on current form ... Rooney couldn't even score anything girls in Geylang :yikess:

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

I received a super fixed match tips-off.

At what price will Liverpool let Torres go to Chelsea? 50M?
