Poor dash......:D

Ai jia prata mai?

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

initially i also very TL.
my son worshipped him.
he will be devastated to know he goes Chelsea.
(I sms him KNNBCCB when he was signing)

KNS. but to each his own.
credit where its due, he has given us fond memories.
but the name on the front of the shirt will always be bigger than the one on the back.

Thanks for the memories, Torres.
We now have a new no. 9, and his name is Andy Carroll.

LFC has seen the back of Rush, Fowler, Owen and now Torres.
The Shankly Gate is still there and the we still sing YNWA.

Andy Carroll, too expensive and overhyped? Well, time will tell.
Move over, Torres. :stop!:
there is a new number 9 in the house. :inlove:

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

Swap Torres out and get Carroll for extra GBP 15m sounds like a good deal. Suarez will wear number 7, worn by Keegan and Dalglish. Konchesky leaving for Nottingham Forest.

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

Dash.....

Bazaar Folder - WTS - Liverpool's Number 9 Torres' Jersey $8.99

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

But i think 35m for carroll is a bit too much. Kenn do you think Suarez can be like Torres??

although question is directed at Kenn, i kaypo answer with my own opinion.
Suarez is prolific in Holland, but their league is way lower in standard.
I will be damn happy if he can be like Bergkamp, become that ice-cool playmaker forward.
although the Cannibal of Ajax is notorious for being hot-headed!

He can be a creative foil for the phyiscal Andy Carroll!

Now, it is relative, cause some Chelsea fan might think that GBP50m for Torres is too much. Fact is, you swapped Torres with Carroll and still have 15m !!! Not a bad deal.

South American players very hard to predict. Remember Forlan? He shines in Spain, he shines in World Cup, but in BPL with Man Utd, he was muted. I suspect Alex is thinking alike with Chicarito too. Few examples - as I have mentioned before, none of the Brazilian midfielders have excelled in BPL, Gilberto, Kleberson, Baptista, Geovanni, Robinho, Lucas, Ramirez.... exceptions are Anderson and Juninho. Tevez showed that he can play in BPL, as with the Brazilian twins at Utd.

totally agree, hopefully Suarez can shine like Torres so that i can forget about those memories. I'm ok if Torres were to sell in other league, worst its a rival team.

What make me hate him is that, he is not loyal and not man of his words. In Chesea he said, i'm so happy to be in Chelsea and bla bla bla.

Sad + Hate = ?

Thats a good one, classic!!
my faith for Liverpool has been 19 years and still going strong bro.

I hope that Torres will get injure this Sunday by Liverpool defenders like agger and skytel. then he will be out till end of season.

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

When Michael Owen left for Real Madrid, we won the Champion League. Who knows it is "fengshui", hahaha!!!

I was delighted when Torres joined in 2007 but no glory thereafter!!! Torres should not be blame as they were too many issues!

"I am joining a team that is at the top level, there is not another level after Chelsea. I am joining with players like Chelsea have. I am joining with big names like Terry, Lampard, Drogba and Anelka and I can be part of this great team."

"But also Chelsea have the chance every season to win all the trophies that they play for, so when you have the chance to play in a team like this you cannot say no."

If I was a Liverpool fan reading this, I would be very angry..

Torres flip faster than the Indian uncle at prata stall

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

Chelsea 0-3 Liverpool

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

I guess Chelsea will become another Real Madrid packed with Galacticos who will lose to the true champion, Man Utd.
