Edmund, Jon's wife is a Gunner and that's why I suggested that he should buy a jersey for her.

Dunno if it is good or bad but I'll be missing this weekend's game against ManU cos travelling.

Fellow gooners (dleo, mark etc) - I'll stop in London sometime next week, but not sure if I have time to squeeze a trip to the stadium. If somehow I can, you want me to get you anything (t-shirts etc)? Don't ask me to get AW autograph!!

If you manage to go, try to get on the guided tour of the stadium. You get to see the Director's seats, the changing room, the dugout etc. Was there in early June and was already convinced Fabregas would be sold because he was not featured in any of the promotional material for the new jerseys.

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

Rafa was revered in the terraces when he first managed Liverpool.
tat fantastic result against Milan in Istanbul made sure he had the job for life. Almost.
Almost becos he pressured Man U all the way for the title 2 seasons ago but eventually finished 2nd place.
Then it all started to fall apart.
key midfield players left w/o proper replacements.
funny line-ups and players played out of position.

patience of fans n the board wore thin.
of cos, the saga of the old Hicks n Gillet did not help.
the writing was on the wall then, people expected him 2 go.
and he did.
sad as it may seem, he had 2 go for the team to move forward.

but i still remembered the fond memories Rafa Benitez brought.
and i wished him well.

it seems the same for Arsene Wenger now.
those who once sang his name, now bays for his blood.
sigh. its a way of life. like how even the most beautiful flower will wither one day.

so, when is Man U's turn?:D

Watched the second half of Man U -Spurs. Movement was fantastic, youngsters scoring, substitutes coming on Giggs, Chicharitto, Park JiSung...

Anderson and Cleverley did very well, movement sharp.

Phil Jones and Johnny Evanns in Central Defense.

3-0 is good! :D

Reports have Man Of the Match as Brad Friedel... If not for him, final score is 5 or 6-0.

Football is all about current results... people will not remember the past glories.
