The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

I think Arsenal's win over ManC shows that for all their big money they still couldnt beat us.

They spent multi millions and technically Arsenal can still compete with them What a waste of money.

The QPR game was a wasted blip. Otherwise we would be breathing down ManC neck.

You ARE breathing down Man C's neck !!!

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

Depends if ManC is still catchable.
Otherwise I support a fight to break out.
If Balotelli can play and he fight Rooney, I wonder who win.

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

It'll be icing on the cake if both Spuds and Chelski drop points tonight.

Both Spurs and Chelsea dropped points and Arsenal need to capitalize on this to make it a 5-point gap.

Newcastle could potentially nick the 4th spot.

Although I don't really like Newcastle very much, I think I prefer them to get fourth behind us rather than Spurs or Chelsea.

Norwich hosting Man City this weekend.....

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

Season almost over, so lemme share some of my views of this season's BPL......

Best Manager - Alan Pardew, Newcastle. Just look at how he sold Carroll and replaced him with Ba, Cisse and Ben Arfa. Solid call.

Best New Team - Swansea

Best Buy - Papiss Cisse + Demba Ba, Newcastle

Most Under-rated Striker - Clint Dempsey, Fulham

Most Under-rated Midfielder - Scott Parker, Spurs

Most Exciting Players - Ben Arfa (Newcastle), Stephane Sessegnon (Sunderland)

Worst Buy - Andy Carroll (Liverpool)

Worst Attitude Player - Mario Ballotelli (Man City)

Worst Manager - Roberto Mancini (Man City) for mis-managing Balotelli and Tevez, and Kenny Dalglish (Liverpool) for consistently getting the team formation wrong

What's yours?

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

Best Manager - Paul Lambert. He guided Norwich from League 1 in 2009 to Premiership in 2 years without any fancy signings.

Best New Team - Norwich

Best Buy - Papiss Cisse, Newcastle

Most Under-rated Striker - Grant Holt, Norwich, how he bullied Spurs 2 central defenders last night.

Most Under-rated Midfielder - Mikel Arteta, Arsenal

Most Exciting Players - Oxlade-Chamberlain, Arsenal

Worst Buy - F.Torres (Chelsea)

Worst Attitude Player - Mario Ballotelli (Man City)

Worst Manager - AVB - too egoistic and lost the respect of the players.

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

Torres worse than Carroll?

Equally as bad but In terms of value for money, I think Torres is worse.
