Real in £150 million Rooney bid
No one is safe from Real Madrid it seems, with the big spending Spanish side preparing an audacious bid for Wayne Rooney and Fabio Capello.
The Spanish giants are preparing a £150 million raid for the free-scoring Englishman claims The Sun, offering Manchester United £90 million for their talismanic striker and the player £250,000-a-week for five years.
Their spending spree will not stop there however; with Real reportedly also set to launch a bid for England manager Fabio Capello after the World Cup.
Capello has managed Real twice before, and has led them to the La Liga on both occasions.
Despite Capello being contracted to England until 2012, Real president Florentino Perez has shown previously that he is not overly bothered by red-tape.
Rooney is enjoying his best form so far having found the net 34 times this season and is yet to commit to a new contract with two years left on his current deal.
Real will tempt him with a five-year contract worth £60 million matching that of Cristiano Ronaldo's and beyond United's stringent wage structure.
Perez is desperate to recreate the Rooney-Ronaldo partnership, with Capello at the helm.
Capello has initiated the ‘come-and-get-me' game mentioning to the press that: "I like new situations. I won't close any door.
