The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

Man U did what they have to do....3-1.... Nani did well, Giggs showed composure with the 2 penalties....Kiko Macheda did his magical entrance for Nani's goal.

Come on Stoke......

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

Stoke will be playing like a championship winning side :D

hehe... so many different permutations....

the title is still in chelski's hands..... we just have to keep winning, and hope.....

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

Pool needs to beat Chelski to wrest the last Europa League qualifying spot from Aston Villa so it will be a fierce battle at Anfield next Sunday. I predict a thumping win for the red team woohoo

Arsenal and Man C draw... the last Champs League spot is still up for grabs...not to mention Europa League....

Really hope your prediction comes true.... but 'pool is without Torres,

One of the most exciting finale to the season in recent years.....

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

man utd was lucky........
but credit to nani's goal. well taken.

SAF should send nani more into the box. defender are less willing to tackle him inside the box.

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

Not forgetting Macheda who made it happen. He seems to make goals out of nowhere or create chances even though he only came on the field for 10 minutes.

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

actually I thought SAF will have taken Nani off in the 2nd half, especially since he received a yellow card in the 1st....

well, that's why he is SAF......

they rejected a bid for Macheda... so, this kid is in SAF's plans for the future.... he reminds me of Inzaghi, cannot dribble at all, but very lethal.....

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

*sigh* chelski is back in control... 7-0 demolition of Stoke....

come on 'pools.....

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

BPL team of the Year:

Premier League team of the year: Hart, Ivanovic, Vermaelen, Dunne, Evra, Fabregas, Milner, Fletcher, Valencia, Rooney, Drogba.

Surprised not to see:

Can't see how Liverpool could clinch 4th ... they may even lose out on the Europa Cup spot.

agreed! but hopefully they turn up on sat to get something out from chelsea..
that all i hope for..0-0 draw also good!!

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

It boils down to this Sunday, at Anfield, where the title will be decided. If Chelsea wins, Man Utd fans will be in tears. Ironically, Liverpool might not be shedding their tears if they lose, cause they prevented Man Utd from overtaking them in the quest for 19th title.

If Chelsea draws or loses, then it will be all the way to the last day.......

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

let put it like this,
if chelsea wins at anfield, hands up! they deserve the be crown champion...as they have beaten man u , liverpool and arsenal away!

4th place all but out of reach (they need 3 teams to collapse in their last two/three games), 7th place virtually assured (all they need is a draw and Everton would need to win their remaining two by a total of 19 goals to overhaul them). What do you think are the chances of Pool turning up for the Chelsea match? Already a screwed season, why pile more misery on themselves by helping their fiercest rivals cast them into no.2 spot in English top flight history?

Anyway, it wouldn't take much slacking to lose to Chelsea. In fact, even if they try they probably can't beat Chelsea. lol
