Cant open the link ... maybe the rumour wasnt true ... but it was great fun laughing about it back then.
I think Cantona was an inspirational player/captain for Manu. Cant think of a better one (maybe Keano) in recent times. He had flair and (irritatingly) started the turned-up collar trend.
I guess Arsenal's equivalent would beTony Adams or Denis Bergkamp.
For Chelsea, it would probably be Zola or Gullit
