I just installed thinkware f770 on my 520i f10. But keep receiving warning messages on battery drainage.

Any bros out there has this issue n any advice to solve it.

u need a spare batt for the camera, usually the camera vendor should have.
if still draining, your installer should recheck where are they tapping the power from.
meanwhile, try not to run your cam on 24hrs or sensor or simply just unplug it when not driving so that your batt won't go flat soon

I'm using the F770 and have the same problem. I setup my cutoff voltage to 12.2V and autopoweroff after 24hrs. The occurence of battery drain message is a lot less now though it still occur once in a while.

Hi all,

Update : i went back to the shop and got a replacement set and it just miraculously have no more error msg of battery drain...

The replacement set is the exact same model - Thinkware F770.

Its really very weird...

Hi Jte Hui,

Can recommend the workshop and cost that you installed the Thinkware F770?

Currently having BMW Advance Car eye installed on my ride and thinking of changing either to Thinkare F770 or Blackvue DR650s. In addition, both video viewer is Mac compatabile

Hi Meng Teck,

I went to 3A carmats at 5 Kaki Bukit Road 1, #03-05, Eunos Technolink, Spore 415936.

You can look for Shirley. What impresses me is their aftersales support.

I went back like 4 times and they showed great attitude.

Meng Teck,

Thinkware F770 is not bad. Got a lot of features like front collision warning, lane departure warning and also red and speed camera warning.

But i turned them off after a while unless you can live with the constant beeping sounds.

I got it ard S$680 to $700, if i remembered correctly.

I would advise against the F770 if you have an F series model. Lots of issues with mine. No choice but i had to install an external battery for close to $400. Paid about $1100 in total, a waste of money.

Hi Bro,

I'm considering to install this camera and saw your post. May I enquire if the problem re-surface again these 3 months?

Thanks!

Bro, it did not resurface after all these while.however i think a safer bet is to install an external battery.

Shld be much better with an external battery.

Thanks a lot Bro. Btw i went down to the shop u recommended and they sold me the set at a whopping $88 dollars cheaper than the accessories shop i frequent for more than 13 years... i owe u a coffee at least for that! BTW They're having a promo ATM.

The lady set for me the cut off at 12.3v but it seems to cut off too early. Usually after jus a few hours, the cam seems to stop working already. I've jus changed the cut off to 12.0v tonight. Keeping my fingers crossed tmr i wont have much trouble... LOL!

Thanks alot for the recommendation again!!

Hi guys, I'm also considering between BMW Advanced car eye and F770 (probably with the iVolt battery pack). Any recommendations? I'm driving a F20 and one of the bro here is suggesting against F770. I think it's a fine product with good features and night visibility but it's the compatibility with BMW that worries me.
