at 110kmh, you do not need any fuelling stops. So best way is to pee and shit first before setting off. if i dont remember wrongly, touch and go can be bought in the office building immediately after the 1st or 2nd toll stop on the 2nd link. you pay cash and get a stored value card back, no need account. subsequent topping ups can be done at any of the touch and go toll booth with the word "tambah" at the top in blue.if you go siao on the highway, just go, and prepare to pay. the cops can strike anywhere.

How should we deal with the cops if we are stopped? Bribe or take the ticket?

best is to give them your passport and drivers license and let them officially book you. you pay more, but that's in accordance to the law and nothing will go wrong. but you must really be on the ball and see the situation. sometimes, they die die want some unofficial toll before they let you go. just see the situation carefully. personally, whenever possible, i'll just take the official summon and pay up at the AXS machines.

Thanks dude - will get the touch and go then...:)

As for the peeing and shitting.. hahahaha - will do that too..

Kopi money... sigh.. will prepare a stash.. lucky i speak malay so can kam cheng abit. If they ask above mkt price then I will ask them to fly kite

There is a way to speed and chances of not getting any fine. Just rem to slow down to 110kmh when you see any road bridges ahead of you. But only effective from JB to Malacca coz there will be built-in cameras on the lamp post in KL.

bro...if i were you, just BRIBE. 50 ringgit max, unless you were caught doing 200km/h hahaha. anyway, msian highway cops can sometimes be full of shit. they sometimes target s'porean cars without actually "clocking" us.

but of course see situation 1st. if only one cop walks up to you.....the answer is obvious...its bribing time!!

AGREED!!! in fact, even for 200km/h, 50 ringgit is enough... ahahaha

Hey dudes,

I have no qualms with bribing but the problem is dealing with your snapshots when you get back from KL... the hidden cams mah...

Anyway - let's see where we go on this..

I am actually considering making a standby plate after speaking to some of the people here..:)

When I in SG, I often drive my dad's car to KL/Penang.

Observations: 1996-98 - Honda Accord - 160km/h - RM40-50 will get rid of them

1998-2000 - C200 - 160km/h. Offered RM50 - asked for RM100. I said No - they threaten to arrest me - I threaten to report they ask for RM100, I have my mom as witness. Let me go for RM50 (how to say - we both were grabbing each other's testicals)

2000-now - E320 - 180km/h. Said nothing. Wanted to arrest. Offered RM50 - he laughed - and wanted RM250. Settled on RM150.

Conclusion?

(Cost of car x Speed) = Cost of "fine".

dont go beyond 50rm, thats a rule of thumb. If they ask for more, like 100rm, remember to ask them exactly where's the next pit stop, so you can save your money. I've been cornered before, alone, in a maserati. They demanded at least 100rm or they will bring me to police station. I say 100rm, can, but i must know exactly where's the next stop. They told me, correct to the last metre. So 1 x 100rm = 2 x 50rm. I didnt mind that at all.

ryan, you've to consider bringing this private. too many admission of guilt here. :shoot:

now they have unmanned stealth cameras that do not need to stop you to fine you, my last trip to KL and back didn't get stopped at all but ended up checking rilek to find 3 fines...sux!

Yep, currently im working on that as atlau has no auth access as well.

Some of you have sent me your registration details and i'm getting down to that.

they will say, you travel more than 200kmh, considered dangerous driving, they not issuing you summon, bring you straight to police station.

i got stopped once and they say they clocked me at 224 or something, i act blur and said my car how to travel 224, come sit in with me i show u that my ECU limit max speed to 180, all Audi's in singapore limited to 180 for safety reasons, dun believe try now....

they didn't pursue and took my 50RM.hahaha

BMW got no such speed-limiters right? Anyways when they threaten to arrest you do they have the jurisdiction or is it just an empty threat? Or is it after certain speed then they can arrest you?
