Wait ALMOST over...

Well, it's been a LONG wait, but totally worth it. My F10 LCI M-Sport has finally arrived onshore. Was given a chance to visit the vehicle before it's to be registered and I jumped at the opportunity.

6WB and HUD look better in person and the iTouch interface really seems like easy to use for input. Ambient light for the orange/white very subtle and although I didn't get the LED headlight option, it wasn't anywhere as disappointing as what some of the forums would have you think and the ///M designation on the fenders is not as garish as I thought...

Can't wait till I formally take delivery! So many setting/options to play with. Christmas has come early this year.:woottt:

Do you know the manufacture date of your m-sport LCI?

Hi douggie... Don't know the exact manufacture date, but given that LCI production only started in July (or last week of June '13 if the forums are to believed); my GUESS would be anywhere between July to August.

Hi MW,

You don't know how many times I contemplated whether I should wait another few months for the LEDs. Agreed that they're the single most stand-out (read: visible) feature of the LCI. But at the time I ordered the car, LCI specs hadn't even been released (early April) and my dealer was actually super kind enough to even ask whether I wanted to grab an LCI instead (hence the prolonged wait).

Having said that, seeing the car in person, I can say that it (the revised xenons) didn't bug me as much as I thought it would. Again, my personal take since it's my car and it's already here. As for the rest, I got to choose all the other options I wanted (6wb, HUD, pro-nav, park assist package, etc) it softens the blow.:woottt:

no worry, can always retrofit
since your ride is LCI, should be plug-in-play

I checked the requirements for retrofitting on pre-LCI..knn the costs and the time...not worth the hassle. Perhaps its cos nobody knows how to do it yet like last time when pre-LCI E60 wanted to change to the LCI rear and front clusters. I remember BVO tried to do it but failed cos the rear LED lights were flickering like a Geylang whorehouse nonstop.

Aiyah, I believe in 1yr's time or so, some workshop or Soundwerkz or Elebest will find a more economic way to do it...
