Wanted: Season parking MBFC

Hi all

Am moving office to Marina Bay Financial Centre next April, and would need a carpark lot there.

Anyone has / know of a nearby lot I can either take over or put my name on a waitlist?

Much appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Wanted: Season parking MBFC

Almost impossible. Parking space at MBFC is extremely limited and, from what I know, the allocation are fully taken up.

I have requested to be on the waitlist and it doesn't look likely until the new year.

Try ORQ if you have contacts in DB, RBS, Barcap. Alternatively at NTUC Centre - Microsoft and NTUC. Rental is a lot cheaper at the latter.

Re: Wanted: Season parking MBFC

ORQ -320 per month. Your best bet but probably need to wait.

Re: Wanted: Season parking MBFC

Thanks to all. I don't need the lot till Q2 2011 -- so wait list it is.

ORQ sounds like a plan -- do you know if they would accept Season Parking wait list if not tenant?

Am feeling depressed just thinking of the logistic nightmare of just getting to work. Money aside, travelling time would increase easily by 1/2 hour a day...

You can try ORQ as a non-tenant but tenants get the priority obviously. Alternatively you can try Market Street, Golden Shoe etc. Need to walk a bit but mostly covered from rain and the sun if you use the underpass. Good cardio exercise! :)

Re: Wanted: Season parking MBFC

no chance at ORQ, i was from there. only for tenants. go park at shenton house.

Re: Wanted: Season parking MBFC

get someone from the sail to sell you the 2nd car lot la ...

Forget Golden Shoe. I used to park there and walk over to MBFC. It's a good 15mins + lotsa sweat. I have previously called property agents to find out how lot renting at Sail and MBR. Looks like tenants there usually do not get parking lots.

Re: Wanted: Season parking MBFC

I am vacating the whole floor of SGX and it will be relieved of about 6 lots in total.
You might want to try at SGX. I am paying 270 currently but I dont know if they have increased the price or there will be an increase for non-tenants. However, worth the check.

Cheers!

Re: Wanted: Season parking MBFC

Thanks for all the advice.

Put my name down in MBFC -- #50+ in the waitlist!

Any Sail owner / tenant in the forum who would like to sublet the lot, pls let me know :)

Will try Shenton House & SGX next ...

Many thanks again.

Re: Wanted: Season parking MBFC

Even Q2 in 2011 would be tough. Golden Shoe might be far but it's a good option as compared to no lot.

How do you know you are #50+?

Re: Wanted: Season parking MBFC

you can forget about MBFC. I'm moving there next month, only the very senior mgmt are allocated with lots while the rest is advised to park at mkt st cp.

I'm prepared to walk 15-20mins...hey still beats getting "sardineD" in trains.

or u can try the casino or marina sq area and put on your roller blades.

Walk briskly, push those inconsiderate underpass users who reads newspapers as they walk or scrolling their phones, jab those cluster-f**kers who has no awareness and hog up the whole lane - this will cut your walking time to 10mins. Yeah RP is a warzone in the mornings and during lunchtime.

I'm keen too!

Re: Wanted: Season parking MBFC

It's unbelievable that a new financial hub has a lack of parking lots.

Based on my understanding, many banks are setting up to attract affluents at Marina Bay Towers. With limited parking space, how are they going to park their luxury cars? It will be a turn off! :)

For those who have to abandon their cars and walk a distance to reach their destination, I feel that it defeats the purpose of driving.

15 mins to your office + 15 minutes from your office to your carpark. Altogether 30 minutes spent on walking to and fro. Moreover you're going to do it everyday, not just once or twice a week thingy.

Many thanks for the offer. That would be perfect. Consider me on your waiting list already!
