I am starting to wonder if this thread has become a platform to log speed demons and some of their so-called ego-boosting "records." What's the underlying philosophy behind this? That our cars so powerful we can hit that speed? I'd mean, what's the gist of this? Not exactly against the postings, but I could not see anything positive from these..........

i hv picked up a chow ah kuah from CV before. friend and i wanted to drop him at ecp..bluff him car something wrong...n then jump in n speed off....in the end i heard a sob story....about the life of an ah kuah...n i sent him home....

it's the political correctness argument that will be hardest to reply to.
anyways when it comes to driving as long as one doesn't 1) overdrive the car, 2) overdrive your own abilities, 3) overdrive the road conditions, shit happening has a much lower probability.

I have the open mind and I don't think peoples who tell me they go at over 250km/h are trying to show off, instead just to share their experience in life. Same if they tell me they bought the R8 and I wouldn't think they are trying to tell me they are rich.
