Let's be fair to our neighbours up north, even our rides are being stripped off their emblems in our local hotspots carparks !!!

Now, on the topic of vandalism, I wonder if the police will take action if the car is vandalised this way......

WHOA!! - dunno whether to cry or laugh man, this sort of vandalism... I'm sure the owner will choose the former!

Anyway, yeah - my SE warned me not to fold my mirrors when parking in an exposed carpark, as he has seen people taking pot shots at the mirrors, which make irresistable targets when folded upwards! So we have our fair share of vandals too. My family merc was also keyed in a sg car park when a couple of months old.

Pilotsnoopy.. how can he pay the toll as I was in front, no problem I am happy to help if I can and I always feel we help and there will be a day people help us.

not too difficult to wind down e window and pay..wave u goodbye when he reach e destination right..

I think this statement applies equally to the Singaporean car owners who drive their cars above the legal speed limits and road shoulders on the NS.

The irony of all these is:

(1) four tour buses heading for Genting were vandalised here - in Singapore. Spray-painted and windscreen smashed. Straits Times Saturday December 9th page H11.

(2) Genting is coming to town !!! Sentosa will see a family theme park with sleazy joints of vice and well, the integrated resort (not casino, mind you) side-by-side .........

By the way, last I checked, vandalism in Singapore is a non-seizable offence, so they can book the guy but they can't really arrest him.

Unless s/he vandalized the wrong person's car/property...
There are always exceptions to the rule.

Yah man! How ironic that Malaysian politicians, after dreaming for years about bringing in Disneyland or Universal Studios, sees one ending up in Singapore - and courtesy of a Malaysian company too.

I think that pretty much kills of any chance of the Malaysian govt's plans to bring in a major theme-park operator like Disney or Universal Studios.

Genting is pretty smart to diversify its market and risks by setting up a casino here in Singapore. They might as well cannibalised their own Genting Highlands than to allow someone else to 100% compete with them in the yard next to their own backyard.

I think the fact that Genting won this Sentosa IR tender against major international casino operator rivals says that they are really a force to be reckoned with. By the way, I am not a Genting or Resorts World empoyee or shareholder and I was neutral about whether it was a good idea to have casinos in Singapore.

i was in genting same day as u guys was there. i parked my car in front of Genting Hotel, S'pore reg. plate as well.

If u go to any buffet restaurent in Singapore, you can also see "Urbanized Neanderthals"

On this note, may I check if anyone has video camera installed in their cars? Those that can take real time video streaming while driving and yet take videos wen there are vandalisers(staionary) .......
Any comapnies to recommend?

How about Cameron Highlands, is that generally a safe place to drive up to from Singapore?

i've been up a few times in groups, but have never had any damage to any of our cars. but i have had my car keyed at the great world city car park ...

that said, there was one disturbing incident when our convoy leader was deliberately rammed by a proton ... even tho we were travelling in the left lane. the group chose to proceed without confrontation.

unfortunately, there are individuals who take great pleasure in damaging or destroying other people's property. i do believe that this is not country specific since it happens here as much as it does across the border.
