When is the time to change battery?

Will our Bimmer's computer signal us when it is time to change the battery? How often do you guys change, based on what sign and what brand of battery? Thanks in advance.

was told that battery lifespan is about 3 yrs +/- depending on luck.

i dun think so leh. but there r tell tail signs. ur cars start up is more sluggish. various operation within the vehicle also sluggish like hitmee.

The best time to change batt is during day time, night time also can but need bright lightings.

Above 12V seems ok. Anything below 12v is about time to up the lorry liao ....

just do periodic change... every 2.5-3 yrs whatever condition... that should work...

Mine was changed at the 2.5 years mark ..... under warranty

Weird! my mums car got battery warning on the i drive leh. Changed after almost 4 years. Champion.

You really the can, kekeke. Possibly the longest lasting battery! Suggest you quickly change it as the consequences of the battery dies on your car is unimaginable.

BTW, I have just changed my battery to Varta AGM technology, smooth and sleek now

BMW's and mercs once used Varta on their cars. is that not standard now?

I think so, in fact Varta did not state BMW as one of the car makers that used their battery as OEM. It has Mercs, Rolls Royce, Audi, Porsche on their list

This excludes the new Mini (owned by BMW) which is using the Varta AGM as their original OEM battery.
