Which is better Breyton Race GT 19", GTS or CS?

Hi all,

Just want some opinion before i proceed to purchase the Breyton Race GT at 19" (Germany made).
Does this rim command high resale value?
I realise it pretty heavy at 13KG, is it gonna affect the driving pleasure?

Hi Gleamese,

usually abit tough to command high re-sale value for almost all used set of rims especially nowadays there are so many to choose plus after awhile all new rims will become old rims (old design)....so very tough.......

of course heavy rims will definitely affect the pick-up most of the time but not driving pleasure as BMW = Sheer Driving Pleasure..

if you like the design then go for it...

rim has little resale value

1 = rim & tyre is the most beaten part that runs on the road
2 = it's difficult to judge the quality of a rim whether it is 1 or 2 year of usage
3 = ac323 has mentioned, there are many rims available. beside breyton is not really premium rim. new one is not very expensive like bbs, hre, dpe, etc

Hi, understand that Breyton has few issues cos of need of Spacer. Breyton rims is a ONe size fits All series. Note the steering will tremble if speeds 130km. Was at SE yesterday, a 740il has just swopped the rims for BBS.

i think the Breyton fits 3 Series and the Z very well...........only for 5 Sries onwards need spacer. ( like you mention one side fits )

what's your ride? so far i got no vibration issues ( must do balancing or high speed blancing if you face this issue, unless the rims itself warpped then..........up the lorry already )

go for Original rims better not Taiwan rims but Taiwan porridge is nice......

If you get the Breyton Race GTS model for the E60, don't need spacer.

according to SE, only 3 series need not spacers. Vibration happens to mainly 7 series during high speed driving of 120km.

I bought a set of 19" Breyton Race GTS for F10, staggered setup doesn't require any spacers. Spacers will be required for the rear wheels for non-staggered setup.

Bought 19" Race GTS from Leong Seng at $490 each. Ray-s was selling them for $700+ IIRC.
