Acu, use Radial blur in photoshop for that effect. (Zoom mode and move the blur centre to the horizon plane)

But need to path out the car so only the background is affected.
Bro hetraa, you serious? I tot those shoot were done purely with good controls of the shutter speed + good exposure + a bit panning (just my guess), cos all photographer were stationary on the side of the road. I was one of them. but I don't seem to be even getting the wheel rolling effects. :(

Re: White Cars Photoshoot Jan 19, 2008 pics

Most of the pics u see with BG blurred to the vanishing point are done in Photoshop, check out Purezerg stuffs.

It can be done in camera., but the speed of travelling has to be very fast and cam mounted on the car itself.
If nt, the cam has to be mounted on a moving car consistent with the speed of the target car, so the target remains sharp while BG is blurred.

Hi Quiksilver, i believe Acu meant capturing shots with the subject sharp and the background blurred towards the vanishing point as an illusion of speed.

i started a post abt this
http://www.bmw-sg.com/forums/lounge/22663-rolling-shots.html#post291540
notice the level of blur on the background and road for the first 3 examples.

For yrs, i think u are standing still, you moved yr camera to make the background blur, resulting in subject, in this case, Jaws car, losing focus.

Analyse the Purezerg shots of the Audi R8 in the carpark and Porsche Boxster in the circular ramp...the space is limited for the photographer, and yet the background is so blurred.

roger that...thanks for the tip...yes, jazzsg car blur becos my shutter speed not fast enough to freeze motion...it's a lot of hit n miss...of the hundreds of shots everyone took...probably won't have a lot of keepers...

of course if got sharp car would be great and pp work would enhance the effects etc...:)

A big thank you to Quiksilver and friends( Too many names to remember, my foremost apology) for the shoot taken and OLL for arrangement of this superb photoshot session.

Not forgetting, Adrian who is the Drink supplier of the day.

Too bad, can't join in for the night shoot
