WindScreen Crack

Wah biang a. Drive for so long first time kanna this.
Was on the CTE and a fast moving object flew straight into my windscreen leaving a star burst crack (size of 5 cent coin) on it.

How? Can repair, replace, claim or leave it?

I touch the exterior, its flaking and you can feel the powdery bits.

Your policy got windscreen cover? Usually should have right, excess $100 or so only. If cannot bear with it, replace.

I think Sam did something to his, without having to replace too.

i will call up the insurance to see if its covered. Got another buddy told me Windscreen will not affect the NCD.

basically just come to any of the prefferred workshop...

sign some papers...

pay 107 bucks...

wait for windscreen to arrive...

install..

done...u only lose 107 bucks total

It depends on the insurance. My MSIG insurance does not require me to pay S$100 for my windscreen. Check your insurance 1st.

My insurance with OCBC doesn't require the $100 excess either. And as all others said, NCD Bonus shouldn't be affected. Note that you are only allowed a change once a year, I think.

If dun want replace can check the delphiforums there got a guy repiar winscreen and u better do it fast cos it will keep cracking.... the guy will close up the crack AKA glass welding. Quite good job... but if can claim then claim lor.
