Agree with Meek. Very subjective. U have to test drive it and feel it. Haha

Yes, you need to test drive it if you like the handling of X class. I test drove it and found the handling is heavy. The price of X1 is also not cheap.

At the end, i decided to give it a pass... Use about the same money and bought a pre-owned 523i F10, Highline, with all the gadgets and a very pleasant driving experience as compare to X1.

At the end of the day, it comes down to individual preference. No right or wrong.

Re: X1 - the Good & the Bad

Yes. Thats correct. Different ppl have diff requirements and expectation.

I actually like how the x1 looks and when i test drove the 20i, found the handling good and steering excellent. The pickup is good and suspension solid.

Of cos there are wishlist... like storage for things and better seats. But i am happy with the availability of the additional gadgets to play with. Sunroof, hd for storage of songs, navigation, bluetooth phone integration...

Overall it is an excellent drive. After 6 months i am still loving it.

Re: X1 - the Good & the Bad

All X class should come with TDI and not petrol variant unless it is turbocharged or a big bore engine... Torque is paramount for SUV..

quite right. the turbo-charged 20i performs significantly better than the 18i. coupled with the 8 speed auto compared to the previous 6 speed... i am glad i got that instead of the 18i.

I think the Range Rover Evoque looks delicious....

it does. but the prices are also overly luxurious... haha. almost 30% more for similar specs. heard reliability is an issue too.

you and liulian luff, please play nice! :)

deep pockets is also not always equated with willingness to spend. he is immersed in the spirit of "durian trees are every where". haha... but the shells waiting for him at home have sharp thorns. lol.

Re: X1 - the Good & the Bad

Regardless thorns or thrift as long as the bitch is desirable enuf and break his threshold, he will sucumb to the temptation and take risk.....Thats what Adam and Eve taught me....
