Very obvious difference, especially in the first pic where the light reflects on the left.
If there’s some effort to at least blend it then I would close one eye. The SOP for most workshops seems to be
Step 1: refer to paint code
Step 2: paint bumper
Step 3: attach bumper
Step 4: take money...
I did end up renewing and did a major round of maintenance for about 4k. Annual depre is around 11k per year.
Blending is tricky. The issue I had was there was no form of expectation management. For 2.6k, having hugely contrasting bumpers/side skirts is unacceptable. I would’ve gladly paid more...
I feel you. Went to a site sponsor for my bumper kit on my then 6 year old car. 0 attempts at paint matching. The silver on the new parts were ice cool while the existing parts, fenders etc were of a warmer tone.
By right there should be some form of paint blending so the contrast isn't so...
Test drive the 318i? If you're satisfied with the power, maybe can consider those almost new 318i cars? Depre for those is 18-19k. That said, power is hard to turn down haha, i opted to renew my 328i COE instead of getting a 2 year old 320/318.
If I may, does your steering/car shake/judder under hard braking? If so it’s likely your lower control arms. Otherwise should likely be your tension strut aka upper control arm.
Can get mechanic to check the above bushings(rears too).
imo lower gear vibrations is likely due to gearbox/engine...
LL04 is meant for countries where petrol has low sulfur content.
SG petrol has high sulfur content hence LL01 is recommended. You can use LL04 just that the change interval has to be shortened. From around 10k down to 4-5k.
