Hopefully not your alternator but sounds like it is. Even if change new battery, can only last till initial stored charge is depleted. If iDrive did not mention low battery, then maybe its cables

Most probably is a wiring issue. The horn does not work mechanically in the sense that it works by the amount of pressure exerted. you can try DIY to dismantle the steering wheel to trace the wiring or simple ws job. Good luck!
