I am wondering is it possible to install a Turbo or Supercharger on the M52B28 engine? Cause I have read that its an aluminium block instead of cast iron. Thus its not able to handle boost and will likely blow.

Re: E36 engine swap You should change the final drive as well. I just replace it with a 4.44 one (original 3.45) and I just love the acceleration. Now I just rev the engine till 4K before changing gear. Great feeling.
