Re: First Servicing for New F30 Is the service mileage on the instrument panel a countdown to when service is required? Or do we send for servicing when we hit that mileage? E.g. if instrument cluster says service 11,000 km, does it mean I can still drive for 11,000 km before servicing?

Re: Things u din't know 'bout ur STOCK F30. Mine doesn't come with back support adjustment. The forward-backward lever has 3 axis of adjustment.

Re: Things u din't know 'bout ur STOCK F30. Same here. Can wash off with normal car wash, but takes quite a bit of time. Bought the BMW wheel cleaner. Just spray and hose off. Haven't tried yet.

Was told that the earlier batches of 3 series was from Germany and current batches from South Africa. Quite easy to check since the label plate on the driver's side state made in Germany if it is from Germany. Otherwise it doesn't state where it is made in. Did a check on my VIN...

Re: Things u din't know 'bout ur STOCK F30. The passenger side wing mirror swings down when you put the car in reverse. But it only does so when the wing mirror adjustment tab is switched to the driver's side.

Re: Hi, Just bought a 316 and thought i should join this forum Have the 316 Business also. Considered 17" tires. But didn't think anyone would really notice them. Also, handling is good with 16" already. 17" would just increase fuel consumption, road noise and make the ride harsher.

Got my 316 a few weeks ago. Enjoying the handling. In terms of power, I find Eco Pro sufficient most of the time. Comfort is necessary only for overtaking when going uphill. Best mileage obtained so far is 4.8l/100 km. Average is 8.0l/100 km.

Re: Things u din't know 'bout ur STOCK F30. To flip the wipers up, you need the wipers in the vertical position. To do so, turn the engine and electronics off, then push the wiper lever all the way up and hold for 3 secs. The wiper will sweep twice and then stop in the vertical position.
