I had my fair share of drive train faults and PML Technican says it is a general error message which needs to be diagnosed to determine what is causing it. I suspect the issue is still there and that's why the error pops up. For me, happens in between interval of 1-3 years. 1st time can't...

Shayjay, the Replacement of the HU was about $1.8K and I had Fuel pump issue another $2.8K...now 3 months later ignition coil, spark plug and poker cover another $1.5K.:wtf:

Yes had the same issue 2 weeks ago..engine and drive train fault light came on while driving..straight to PML moving along 40km/h. After 2 days of checking, found need to replace spark plug and ignition coils, worse is came back to tell me found a leak and also need to replace the rocker cover...

Hey Guys, Update - issues resolved - replaced HU and all good now. Quite sianz, encountered drive train fault even b4 issue resolved and have to replace the fuel pump...quite hefty damage to my pocket.

Hi Shajay, PM says due to my car head unit, they tested with a new CIC but issue still persist. They conclude it is the head unit though no new HU here so cannot test...ask them to get one from MY and it is being courier to SG..next week will know.

I tried not connecting my phone via bluetooth but issue still persist.

Hey fellow fourmers, F30 is coming to 6th year, encounter an issue which PML first says upgrade of software (apparently not the solution), next replace head unit (if it doesn't work) then whole screen module...Really pissed...left the car for 2 days and not resolved and give me multiple...

Yup...CS told me a number changed Non AGM battery and ended up with numerous electrical issues..

This was told by CS who attended my issues, he says could be due to the additives in SPC RON95.

Hey guys...heard something new today..SPC RON95 may cause cranking difficulty for turbo charged engine. Courtesy from PML. Maybe when u have no confidence in resolving an issue, confusion is next.
