Hi all,

NOOB at 19", eyeing a 19" rim that a bro is selling.

Received a quote for:

front - 245/35/19
rear - 275/30/19

Brand New Goodyear F1 Assym, made in Germany at $1680 for the set of 4. Manufacturing date is 2nd half of 2009.

Is this a good price?

I have heard about F1 ASymm having cracking issues because it cannot take the weight of the car. Thats why i opted for Falken 912s instead.

Not sure how many bros are affected, but you might wanna verify it first?

True, side wall cracking for 2008 and before. Understand 2009 has no issues, especially after 2409, week 24, 2009.

No spacers needed.

where do you get the affirmation that F1 manufacture after week 24 2009 has no crack issue? there is no official release from Goodyear. anyway there is no official acknowledgement from GY that their Tyrese got issue for whatever date production. I want to get F1 tyre too but. I am concern that the crack issues is due to local climate or incompatible issues that will resurface.

from ray-s...bought it together with new rims and traded in existing rims+runflat...so the new tyres could be priced into the package...

probably worthwhile to get quotes from a few companies and compare...

i just asked for a final gd price if i trade in...was more interested in the rims than the tyres so didnt ask much about tyres pricing before and after trade in...sorry, cant help much if u need the full details...cheers
