Finally! I got my 523 remapped at Juzz for Cars today.

We also did a before and after dyno and I’m really happy with the result…
The car is a lot more drivable and I’m enjoying every bit….well worth every cent.

Before : 173 bhp 250Nm
After : 205 bhp 290Nm

Now I wonder how much more can I gain with Air filter and Supersprint Exo...5 bhp??

Hi there!

Great to hear that you're enjoying ur ride!

Why don't u intro urself? what you do, do u like futsal, previous ride etc..

Where did you do the dyno? How many runs did you do? Share with us ur mod experience!

Re: 1st E60 523 remapped ( Almost a 525)

Yes, do elaborate on your remap. I am sure alot of bros with 523s would be interested and want to know what remapping programme you used.

Re: 1st E60 523 remapped ( Almost a 525)

Re: 1st E60 523 remapped ( Almost a 525)

An Increase of 32bhp and 40NM ??... that's alot for a remap..

did u do a run before and after ur remap or did u just take paper figures and ur run after the remap.

Remapping of the ECU.

Re: 1st E60 523 remapped ( Almost a 525)

Previous Ride many... Evo 9 , STI, Audi A4 T , Passat 1.8T,520 , 320 , 318,VR4... etc

Dyno Done at Sean's place ( Ubi )

Current 523 STOCK with only Remap

Dyno Done Before and After remap as mentioned in my 1st mail, The Gain is really alot for a NA car but I do think the dyno dun lie...

I guess for more info its better you guys check with JFC, I just did the remap and tot I share the info.

Will post the Dyno Graph once I get the chance to scan it.

Re: 1st E60 523 remapped ( Almost a 525)

I wonder how much gain can there be for a 530i.

Will you tell us the time and estimate of the environment temperatures when you did the dyno, before and after? Dyno results vary a lot due to the air temperature.

What is the name of the remap software?

Wow, so many rides in the same category both performance and luxury. You must have lots of mod experience. What models 520, 320 and 318 did you have?

Can't wait to hear abt ur details about ur 523.

Re: 1st E60 523 remapped ( Almost a 525)

I dare say the both dyno are done on similar condition, typical sunny Singapore day....
Unless we compare sub 20C I really do not see much diff....
I have done more than 100 pull on dynos on all my different cars and hardly see any diff on diff day with the same car. (maybe 5 bhp but more effect on turbo car)

I personally believe the 523 on the 2.5 L is detune(177) and 200ish figure is respectable taking into consideration that the E60 525 have a different intake manifold ( maybe a few more diff parts )
My objective to have my 523 remap was to make it more driveable (hated the stock feel) and I think the JFC remap works perfect for me.

The time taken by JFC is within a day ( including dyno ) and that work prefect for unwanted downtime. ( I suspect it can be done within mins but please go confirm with JFC)

Brand of Map/reflash??.... Good question, I'm not too sure, you might want to ask JFC.
But in short I'm happy and highly recom all 523 owner to do it...Take it that I have no Commercial gain with this post so no reason for me to make up the 200 is bhp.

I have no other mod on my 523 beside the reflash of ECU.

That is really great. Stock for me isn't bad already after installing the throttle booster, K&N filter and driving in manual all the time. But the J4C remap, if the numbers are true, makes the 523i great value for money.

Dun take my numbers for it , do your own Remap and do your own dyno to convince yourself...

This is as much as I can share...

What is the name of the remap software?

Name of software remap is hiop

Parameters are constant in before & after dynos.

U wanna get it done on your 530i?

:)
