Possible meh? Why would they still wanna sell tomorrow morning at old price, when COE already went up so high?

A good friend of mine just called up today asking for 320, price quoted was 148k. If they gonna keep the old price then better ask my friend tomorrow quickly go and buy lio. Choon bo??

Well it coulb be because they have locked in some open cat Coe at old prices. Anyway they take your orders, underbid your Coe, no loss to pml. Just come and ask you to top up?

just came back from PML. saw the revised price list, all increase up to 22k across board!!!! they r still working, ppl walking in to book cars like nobodys business

ok thank you Sir! $22k increase for 318i and 320i is very steep for the target market! but for current owners of these excellent compact sedans, it's actually excellent news!

seems like the Bull has decided to be in COE rather than STI.

:)

Re: 2010 - new 5 series pricing

318/320 potential buyer definitely will feel the pinch la

the below calculation is just for illustration only hor ... not the real numbers that i got from PML ... but i believe you could figure it out
example: 318/320 OMV = $40k
1 year ago = selling price was = $40K x 2.3 + 6K (coe) + $20K (margin) = $118K
1 year later = selling price would be = $40K x 2.3 + $36K (coe) + $20K (margin) = $148K

the diff of $30K goes to gov pocket la ... PML always maintain the same profit margin for bread&butter car

isn't entry level 3-series was sold at the $150K mark last time ?

bro ur 320 resale value how much now? time to turn to F10 liao. 523 highline very hot in showroom

Re: 2010 - new 5 series pricing

still love my 320 ... i'm a sucker for buy at lelong ... so i only buy when it's dirt cheap. my regret is that i did not whack a property 2 years ago .... now it would be a long wait

back to F10 ... very hard to swallow the $36K COE ... or i should say $50K COE is just round the corner

the turn around in price was too quick. else can sell ur ride and book F10.

Re: 2010 - new 5 series pricing

i'll give it a pass .... wait for the F10 price to come down first

frankly there is no better time liao. COE still on the up trend and it will prolly negate ur discounts when price of F10 come down. whereas securing it now would have automatically gotten 20k appreciation from COE hike.

my 0.02
