335 vs 325 vs Audi TT?

is not my theory. is my views on buying which car. " 323, 325, 330 (which are NA) are not worth it." cos there looks the same expect the power delivery is different. power comes in a price. you pay for what you get no more no less. you can think of it power per dollar. then down to your budget for a car. Thread starter set her budget @ 200K or less. choosing between E92 325i vs E92 335i. I'll choose 335i if I can afford it, but being realistic, to stay within budget and get the best I would go for E92 325i with iDrive and other options or a pair of nice deep dish rims + BBK + bodykit . Unless power is so important, and I assume she don't really needs it. Just to win someone at the traffic lights makes your day, faced it you need the best money can buy, 335i would be it. I don't.
is either 320 or M3. that is the part that puzzled me.......why so? I paid 45K for BMW R1150RT for something I can buy half the price on most Japs bike, yet fastest, bigger engine capacity than BMW bikes. why? is the handling + safety + needs. I like to tour around Thailand. 4 times a year. I needs something proven reliable, handle, stops, comfort and fit all my luggage. Those that had try on BMW bikes would understand. so why 320i or M3. I need a car for daily transport, comfortable, good driving experience, and fit my 3+2 family. All this within $120K, I squeeze my budget a bit more for 320i. But if I had 250K to spend, I would get 335i. But if I'm buying a machine a purpose, I would say ///M is the one to die for. So that's me.

Basically it comes down to whether you find the increase in power worth the difference in price between the 325 and 335. Your running costs for a 335 will be higher than a 325. For a budget of 200k or less I'll take the pml 325. With a budget of 220K or less I'll take a PI 335i. But thats just me

GerryGirl, u r lookin for performance or desigen of the car? Set ur buget. TT2.0t is ard $190k, TT3.2 is ard $230k so TT-S or TT-RS are abt at least $260k n above. If u go for design, a basic 320 will alright since u r worried abt the insurance n rd tax. If u want performance, 335 is the one and yet is nice lookin. Dnt wori abt the warranty ting cos u stil wil get ALOT of 'Shit' fr PML too! My own experience n opinion: comparing 325vsTT-->TT. Comparing 335vsTT-->335. Tis is the best car in this class n in tis price. Hope u have a clear mind nw.

The road tax is about 3k for 335. Insurance depends on age (between 2.5k - 3k before discount from NCD) but the excess is quite high (1.5k) for 335 compare to 325.
For me, I was looking for a 325 but gotten a 335 at the end. Was convinced by the SE and a friend who is into powerful cars. There were other reasons too. I think it is personal on how each one of us made our choices in life. I suppose we strive to make an educated decision. I wish you the best in your search. Have a good day.

Soooo... Finally decided to go to PML to get the 325. Sales person happy, I was relatively happy, husband was not so happy, THEN, we found out that there's no black in stock. NO BLACK. Then I said, ok, grey with brown leather please. DON'T HAVE OSO. So, went home empty handed. sales person sad, I was a little sad, husband v happy.
