The People's Action Party's Women's Wing is proposing laws allowing for flexible work arrangements, as part of several pro-family suggestions submitted to the Manpower Ministry.

In a position paper released on Wednesday, the Women's Wing called for employment legislation where workers with children below the age of 12 can request for a change in the number of hours, and when and where they work.

Workers should also be allowed to take no-pay leave for up to one year to take care of their children, and guaranteed to positions in the company when they return.

The hope is that these laws could be introduced within the next two to three years, and the Government could first start by setting clear guidelines on flexi-work for employers.

I have stop believing in what they say. And I am sure many Singaporeans too. Sad state. I think still coming out with the 6.9m number after all the National Conversation (or whatever it is called) is the last straw.

So, he said, the government did what it thought would have been appropriate then. It decided to make up for lost time by growing the population and boosting the economy.

Was thinking about the above point.
Boost the economy by growing the population so we get 6.9million people in 2030.
So what will happen after 2030 ? 9million people in 2050 ?
How deep below ground are we going to dig down ?

Anyway, even so, if the last column is the density figure, we are 6 times as dense as the 2nd on the list...

Seoul is highly populated as a city , but South Korea population density as a whole is ranked 6th due to the total land area of the country !

Japan is ranked out of 10 because of the same reasoning .

HK is part of China !

Never know Singapore ranked 1 until you highlighted !
