All about Z4 (E89/ E86/ E85) thread

Re: All about Z4 (E89/ E86/ E85) thread

Hey all

Any love for the Sepang Bronze colour? Looks really nice to me - unique and sporty, but not too loud. Haven't seen one in the metal yet though, and wonder whether it will look like the dull bronze colour on Hondas, for instance.

Hi All, I would like to check with the Z4 gurus out there if a 2005-2008 Z4 MultiFunction steering wheel would fit a 2004 E85? the part number for the steering wheel: 32 30 6763531.

Thanks.

It will fit as long as its a 11/2007 and older Z4.

Re: All about Z4 (E89/ E86/ E85) thread

Folks,

Need some advice. Driving a E85 now:
1. For engine oil, Should I go for 5w-40 or 0w-40? I read the manual and it state 5w-40 equivalent. I understand that some also using 0w-40.
2. What are u using for? BMW engine oil or aftermarket?
3. Will be bringing to Bvo or Boss fit my next engine oil and filter change. What would be the typical cost?

Thanks.

Re: All about Z4 (E89/ E86/ E85) thread

Any feedback on the GruppeM CAI, pls share!

Any E85s with bodykits installed, pls share also - although the stock body has quite nice lines already.

:)

Re: All about Z4 (E89/ E86/ E85) thread

Has anyone installed the LeatherZ armrest for the Z4, or similar product?

http://www.leatherz.com/Merchant5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=01&Product_Code=Mark4&Category_Code=Armrest

This ride is seriously lacking in convenient storage spaces for quick access stuff like cashcard and sunglasses. The central storage space is a bit far back (depending how far back is your seat) and the openings fairly tight. This armrest looks like the perfect solution...

I saw this as well...Same thoughts about the current lack of storage space.. Almost wanted to buy it, but decided not to (thought I retain the minimalist look).. If you are keen, they advertise in ebay as well and allows you to make best offer...
On the other hand, i went for the cupholders in BMW Cup Holders, Porsche Cup Holders, Ultimate Cup Holder - Cupholders / Drink Holders for BMW 3 5 7 Series, Boxster 911 Z4 Mercedes Audi NSX other fine cars.. Reckon BMW made can't make decent cupholders.. I got them within 5 working days.. Hold bottle and cups well... Worth it...

Hey wanaka, great recommendation. I've yet to put the original cupholders to actual use but the location did come across as a little odd. Will check these ultimate cupholders out.

Thought about this - in the end I just threw the 1 litre bottle behind my seat. Really inconspicious .......

LeatherZ: Mark4 Armrest

This one is really useful - especially for resting your left elbow. Provides good space. The supplier usually has a back log of orders so order early.
