No worries for those that paid up earlier but along the way the postings got confused. The earlier posts will show.
Later on when I get a chance to sit down and sift through all the payments and posts on a proper computer I will do a tally.
We're definitely overbooked for now. The registration is closed. Please do not send me anymore payments.

Guys, we have a bit of a situation here. We now have 50 paid cars; 10 more than our imposed limit of 40. This is pretty amazing considering the fact that we are 10 weeks away to the event, and we've gotten such response largely in a 4 hour timespan.
We need to make a collective decision. Allow all 50, or remove 10 (bring forward to the next track day). Allowing all 50, may be feasible because based on previous track days we usually have about 4-6 pullouts during this time until the track day 10 weeks later. And on the day itself, usually we have about 2-3 with technical problems and not making the grid at all. There's a chance that we could get down to a number very close to 40. But of course there's a chance all 50 will gun for the first corner together. I'm also suggesting allowing all 50, to be friendly and all-inclusive. Downside is that we lose the exclusivity that characterises our BMWSG TD in the first place.
If we are to whittle the number back down to 40, we will have to decide on who. It'll be tough to play this role. We have a few yardsticks on which to base this on, and I'll also then list down the caveats.
- Time based top 40. Pros-straightforward and impartial. Cons - indetermination of actual time due to 1) My DBS ibanking account shows only date, not time. However it does show who's ahead and who's behind. 2) Unfair to those who are on non POSB/DBS banks. The transaction takes 3 working days. 3) In this case then we take when they actually effect the transfer, or when they drop the cheque. This is a piece of info I do not have. Currently I rely on this based on smses sent to me, and giving everybody the benefit of doubt that they really did drop the cheque at that time since I'm getting them all after 2pm anyways. 4) Besides, an amazing number of smses came in minutes, and in some cases seconds apart, from 8am all the way till 12+pm. As a result, many entries are separated by mere minutes. Is it fair if someone gets in and someone gets out based on an sms 3 minutes apart, for eg?
I have got a clear cut example of a forummer who transferred me the track fee in the late afternoon. I'm very sorry bro, in this case I will have to refund you the track fees, or roll them over.
- Regular forummer based selection. Being a BMWSG TD, it is natural to choose our regular forummers over those who are invited and are not originally part of this community, as our aim of conducting this closed track day, is to involve our BMWSG forummers with the sport. However, how do we identify these people clearly? Also, if there are more than 10, or less than 10, invitees who are not part of the community, then how do we ensure fairness? Also, many people who are new to our track day actually do come along with their friends who are regulars here. How do we make the distinction? Perhaps we could exclude from this track day who have never tracked with BMWSG before? It's hard to make a decision without being discriminatory or unfriendly.
BTW this morning, very sorry about the half-finished sms and whatsapp conversations with you guys. I didnt have time to respond appropriately. This problem arose because i was in a meeting after my last posts at about 10am+, which ended after 12pm, and by then the paid numbers crossed the 40 mark without me catching it. So sorry about that.

Don't think there will be 50 cars gunning for turn 1 when tracks opens......
I will sacrifice the 1st hour helping out on late comers registrations & newbie orientation laps......
