BMWSG Sepang Track Day Sat 7 May

Re: BMWSG Sepang Track Day Sat 7 May

Yea I know about Jyoji's car. I'm sorry I typed wrongly. It's not black. It's a Grey one like mine. With a high GT wing and 18" orange rims. I think he did sub-40 too. Heard his name is Felix, but he has since sold his S2000. His car seemed super powerful though. Don't know what he has under the hood.

i wish GT5 had sepang....

Re: BMWSG Sepang Track Day Sat 7 May

no transponder no talk. i consider it a 3 min run......

Re: BMWSG Sepang Track Day Sat 7 May

Last year I drove a stock 320 to a 2:16 laptime but I didn't want to show off so I didn't get a transponder
And I forgot to turn on my pbox to record the run.

I know some may find it difficult to believe, but this is not the first time I've run a time that good. If you ask Johnny and Tom and Ah Tao, a few years before that in 2003 I drove a stock EG6 to 2:19 which is still faster than most of the MSS cars these days. But back then no Pbox and I forgot to get transponder. Didn't want to have people say I yaya with a video, so I got my 3 friends to hand time me. You can ask them.

Cheers

Thanks bro. Your 2:07 in the MR2 in 2001 was awesome to witness too. I showed Kiang the stopwatch in the pitlane after that and he told me he didn't believe it. But the stopwatch doesn't lie! Why is your current Evo so slow?

No lah got Traqmate, Motec, Digispice, Stack, Pi, AIM, too many to list. Probably twenty different brands internationally

Also got Sepang's transponder system heheh

But there's no doubting of Cayman, Boxster capability esp on good tires

Re: BMWSG Sepang Track Day Sat 7 May

Machoman, meet Slowman. Slowman is not that slow.

Slowman, meet machoman. Machoman is not that macho.

Both of you drive S2Ks. Slowman's is a Type S

:D

Re: BMWSG Sepang Track Day Sat 7 May

Because:
- i was using old tires
- car not fully boosting
- there was heavy traffic on the track
- weather was too hot
- I forgot to turn off aircon (and ipod)
- was not really pushing it (shakedown only)
- setup not right
- accidentally left traction control on
- and my bladder was too full

Basically, any and every reason other than: I'm not a good driver :woottt:

Re: BMWSG Sepang Track Day Sat 7 May

Same for me. On my best laps, I am still never pushing it. Things are never right. I've tracked and raced for 10 years and never once have things been right, or even just close to good.

You know it's true because if things were about right and we CHOSE to push it, you and me, and all our friends, know all of us would be somewhere under 2 minutes. We should start a sub 2 minute club that only people with potential to go under 2 minutes can join.

Someone should sticky this thread so no one ever forgets all this proof of our super laptimes.

Cheers bro

No wonder. Do you think those aero bits actually work on our S2K? As in those aftermarket GT wings, or even the stock Type S ones.

They definitely work and very noticeably esp around T3,5,6,12,13,. You can test it at the track and feel a difference. Easy to bolt on bolt off aero bits

Cool. I was thinking of DIY-ing a front splitter. But my car already oversteers a lot as it is. GT wing sounds good. Just that it looks a bit kuku with my tiny stock exahust
