Mine also 5yrs car. Had changed the below so far so good:

1. Front and rear brake pads

2. Rear disc rotors

3. Shock absorbers

4. Front upper and lower arms

5. Engine mounting

6. Fuel filter

7. Spark plugs

Actually if we will to drive 10 years for the E60 plus all the wear and tear parts replacement cost, do you think better to change car every 3 or 5 years, which one is better or cheaper?

with the current coe, i say you keep ur e60 and drive it for 10 years. can overhaul a few times also cheaper.

New engine cheaper than COE .....

Was advised by my workshop not to change pan, just change ATF will do coz ao few of his customer e60 has to go for overhaul after replaced the ATF filter pan. How is your car now?

I did my ATF with BVO a month or two back. With respect to costing, there are many little little things to change.... seals, rings or dunno what.... all adds up to money money money.

But it gives you a good peace of mind that you car has gone thru a thorough checkup and maintenance, though you also know it is not fool-proof.

the pan comes with the atf filter.... unless ur workshop dun change the atf......arbo change atf, dun change filter..... dun make sense....

I just got my stock shock absorbers replaced. Sent u a PM

My E60 just hit 100K. At what mileage should I replace my shocks absorber, I don't feel anything is wrong whn going over road humps

If you do not feel anything different then dont change, save some $$.

quite subjective to mention the mileage to change shock absorber, you will notice slight bumpy effect when going over hump and that would probably be a good time to change.

Test it .... Check for leak stains on the shocks itself with a torch light and push your car's fender / trunk areas down hard and watch the bounce. If its good - it will not rebound more than 2 times.

I just came tahan the asborder sound Zzsss when over hump, so just changed it.

Mine mid 07 mileage 79k.

I'm driving the Pre-LCI model, not sure you guys is it refering to LCI e-gear or Pre-LCI torque convertor ZF tranny, but my workshop did tell me he encounter some cases of tranny up the lorry after changing ATF/pan(filter), hence he advised his customers against changing the pan/filter, maybe their tranny is already on the way to kapok and the ATF/pan change accelerated the demise of the tranny.
