My brake rotor and pad rubbing sound is driving me nuts...:errr:

Any TaiKor or ShiFu got solution to get rid of the sound...:helpp!:

Ya same. I feel like a lorry every time I brake. But it only happens after driving for some time after every start up.

I heard there is a spray that you can buy or go workshop to get them to spray?

Normal for new pads and rotor..Pads and rotors need to be bed in..

Go bed it in .... Accelerate to 100 kmh then reduce to 30 Kmh 7-8 times in a row.

Ask WS to apply brake grease on the pins, back of pads etc .... As long as not between pad and rotor ....

Chamfer the sides of the pads ....

If it has backing plates .... Check the orientation

It's not the pad and rotor rubbing causing the sound. It's the other parts vibrating causing the noise.

After the software update of the idrive...:yikess:

I notice the fuel consumption of the OBC indicates the car more thirsty...:confused:

Any seniors here experience this before...:oops:

Before was 9.5km/ litre then after became 8.5km/ litre

Driving style and route cum traffic condition all same

Or is it after software update the OBC become more accurate than before?

My ride is E60 523 Lci

Any brother got the same as mine...

I am averaging 7.5 to 8km per l. Feel better boh?

smell like petrol , WS say its normal for a 5yrs old car.
but when i went to PML , the service lady told me.
" No.. BMW car should not have this problem.. you better send in to check"
Haiz.. dun noe to send in bo..please advise
